 Jordan Jones-Harris was a beautiful, 23-year-old, nursing assistant who was gunned down in her Toledo home on Oct. 15. Jordan’s family believes their loved one suffered in silence and battled domestic violence against her former partner for a long time. Family members said they were shocked to learn of the abuse. After the murder, her family even held a march to raise awareness for domestic violence. According to reports, volunteers carried photos of Jordan and pictures of her alleged killer. Police believe 29-year-old ex-boyfriend Marquis Walker is responsible for murdering Jordan. According to reports, Walker broke into Jordan’s apartment before allegedly shooting her six times. Police have issued an arrest warrant for Walker, charging him with Jordan’s murder. Since the shooting, one reports says Walker is posting to social media and even contacting Jordan’s sister. According to Northwest Ohio since contacting Jordan’s sister, Laken Jones-Harris, “Walker has also posted several messages to Laken’s Facebook page under the (edited) name “Fu**whatuthink Walker.” Jones is frustrated that police have not been able to track Walker down, but believes he is still hiding in the area.” Jordan’s family believes Walker is hiding out somewhere in Ohio, but he could be anywhere. He weighs about 160 pounds and stands 5 feet 8 inches tall. I selected Walker as my first non-AMW fugitive case of 2014 for a few reasons. For one, the family is trying really hard to catch him, spreading flyers throughout the neighborhood and trying to get the case attention, and without the court of last resort on the air, they need all the help they can get. Also, husbands or boyfriends shooting their wife or girlfriend to death are unfortunately a recurring crime, but six times? Not saying it was ok if it was just once. But that's brutal, that's overkill.
And now he has the nerve to go on social media and taunt the family as well? This angers me.
And also, even though there is a non-AMW case, there is an AMW connection here. If you take a look at who wrote the ID Crime Feed story, it's former correspondent Michelle Sigona.

The family of Jordan Jones-Harris is doing everything right to try and help capture Marquis Walker. I agree that he's probably still somewhere in Northwestern Ohio. Nice to see that Michelle Sigona is also covering this case.  |
