On February 14, 1988, the unidentified human remains of a White female, between the ages of 18 and 25 years old, 5’0” to 5’6” tall, and weighing between 90 and 120 pounds, with sandy blonde hair, were discovered in an industrial area in Mount Vernon, New York. The victim had ligature and binding marks on her wrists, ankles and neck.

UPDATE from site admin: In July 2021, Mount Vernon Jane Doe was identified as Veronica "Ronnie" Wiederhold. According to an online article, anyone with information on who may have killed her was asked to contact the Westchester County DA at 914-995-TIPS
