According to Newslibrary archives, Jose Madrid and Nicolas Espino were playing a card game in Norcross, Georgia back in January in 1998. That's when Jose and Nicolas got into an argument over a woman. Authorities say as a result, Jose allegedly shot Nicolas to death at the apartment. Witnesses identified Jose as the killer, but he fled before he had been determined to be the alleged suspect.
The last confirmed sighting of Jose Madrid was at a federal office in Texas where Jose attempted to apply for US citizenship. However, authorities don't know if he tried to apply before or after Nicolas was murdered.
Based on crime location, it is advised to contact the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Department at 770-822-8000 if you have any information on Jose Guadalupe Madrid's whereabouts.

Thoughts? I'm continuing on with profiling the fugitives featured in the 2015 Gwinnett County news report out of Georgia that are most likely still at large. The issue with the timeline as to when Jose attempted to apply for US citizenship determines whether he is more likely still in the US or has since fled to Latin America.
