Photo Credits: Chron News DOB: 01-03-80 Height: 5'7 Weight: 170 lbs Eyes: Brown Hair: Black -- On May 28, 2017, authorities in Houston, Texas say that Jose Celis-Maltes was drinking and had gotten upset with one of his roommates, Jesus Castillo-Vasquez. The issue may have been that Jose disliked one of Jesus's co-workers. That's when Jose allegedly got violent and shot his other roommate in the face. Jesus then ran from his room to see what had happened, and was then shot and killed. Court documents mentioned that Josue allegedly called his nephews to bring him his gun that night, which moments later they are suspected of doing. The surviving roommate identified Josue as the shooter who has since gone on the run. Based on crime location, it is advised to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (8477) if you have any information on Josue Celis-Maltes's whereabouts.Moderator Note: If you have any news-related updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form --Thoughts? Based on the suspected motive being the dislike of one of the victim's co-worker's, I feel we need to add this case to our "Most Idiotic Murders Hall of Shame". Hopefully the stupidity results in Josue's arrest soon. patch.com/texas/houston/crime-stoppers-releases-their-top-wanted-suspectsweb.archive.org/web/20180322122841/https://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas/houston/article/Houston-murder-suspect-on-the-run-after-shooting-12750819.php

The problem is when you're drinking it could potentially lead to stupid arguments that probably wouldn't also lead to murder. Not excusing Mr. Celis-Maltes as he was sober enough to allegedly call his nephews and ask for a gun in the first place, so he dug his own grave there. The drinking probably did help exacerbate the ticking time bomb of a situation though.

While I'm glad that Josue Celis-Maltes is in custody, is anyone else noticing there seems to be a lot more captures without news reports regarding the arrest happening recently?

Yeah I've seen that too.
The news is *sometimes* good at reporting fugitive cases but terrible at reporting when they're caught.
