Authorities have been searching for Sergio Ponce Valesquez for over 15 years. I don't believe he was aired on AMW. The paragraph below is from the Denver Most Wanted website because it's the only website covering this case.
On the night of Friday, July 25, 1997, officers responded to a residence near the intersection of W. 14th Avenue and Irving Street on report of an unconscious child. While at this west Denver residence, officers learned that a two year old boy had suffered a severe head injury. The child was immediately rushed to a local hospital, but later died as a result his injuries. During the course of the investigation, Denver Homicide Detectives learned that the victim was consistently left in the care of Sergio Ponce Valesquez while the child’s mother went to work. Based on the medical examination conducted by multiple doctors, it was concluded that the child suffered blunt force trauma to his head and his injuries were consistent with “Shaken Baby Syndrome”. Currently, a warrant for Sergio Ponce Valesquez’s arrest has been issued for Investigation of Child Abuse Resulting in Death.
Thoughts? I don't know if he fled to Mexico since there's no comments on a possible location, but that's always a possibility.
