On Sunday, December 16, 1985, Robert Potteiger was discovered deceased at the driver’s side of his vehicle. He had been shot multiple times with a handgun. It appears the unknown suspect had gotten into Robert’s vehicle on the passenger side and then shot Robert Potteiger. Robert was 49 years old at the time of his murder. Robert was a self-employed furniture repairman.
