On October 8, 2017, the body of 30-year old Rashad Ladson was found at a homeless camp in San Antonio, Texas. Witnessed said that Rashad allegedly showed up to the camp with a gun and tried to rob the occupants there, supposedly even pointing a gun at a person's head. The occupants then allegedly attacked Rashad, tied him down with duct tape and beat him to death for two hours with the gun, fists, sticks and a sword.
One of the men arrested approached police as to if they could reach the roof of a nearby building. Police checked the roof and found several of the weapons that were used to beat Rashad to death. Another witnessed said that they overheard three people brag about beating Rashad.
Several people have been arrested in connection with this murder, but Edward James Hudson is still at large on a murder charge. He is accused of using a chair to beat Rashad.
Based on crime location, it is advised to contact San Antonio Crime Stoppers at 210-224-STOP if you have any information on Edward James Hudson's whereabouts.

Thoughts? The circumstances of this case are a lot of different from what we usually encounter on this forum. Nevertheless, Rashad will never get the right to a fair trial for allegedly robbing the homeless camp because the occupants themselves are accused of beating him for two hours, causing his death. This definitely does not look like a self-defense case based on how long the beating went on for, and how some of the people were bragging about beating Rashad. If Rashad did in fact rob the camp and point a gun at someone's head, then they should have disarmed him, held him down and called the police. That clearly did not happen which is why this is a homicide case.
