From Fox San Francisco (ktvu.com):
SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU Staff) - San Francisco police have named a homicide suspect in the murder of a popular LGBTQ activist and DJ Anthony 'Bubbles' Torres.
An investigation has led police to the identity of Hieu Trung Nguyen, 30, a San Francisco resident. He is described as 6'0", 190 pounds, with dark hair, and dark eyes. Police have released a photo of the suspect and have issued a $15,000,000 warrant.
Torres, 44, a gender non-conforming artist and Tenderloin resident, was a victim of a shooting on September 9, 2017 at Myrtle and Larkin streets. Police responded to the scene near the New Century Theater, a strip club, at 2:50 a.m.
At the time of the shooting, one report on Facebook indicated the gunman may have come out of the club, but police have not confirmed those details.
The area is close to The Gangway, a popular gay bar and RS94109, a record store where friends said Torres sometimes DJed.
Many in the community and underground music scene expressed that they felt "heartbroken" at the news of Bubbles' murder. There were vigils held and community meetings, but no significant movement in the case until now.
Police had issued a statement back in September that said the shooting did not appear to be a hate crime. Police say Nguyen should be considered armed and dangerous.

Thoughts? According to another article, Torres was playing music outside a club at around 3 am in the morning. Nguyen allegedly exited his vehicle, started an argument and shot Torres which led to Torres being taken to a hospital and dying there. It's unclear what the argument was about since police say this wasn't a hate crime. Perhaps Nguyen didn't like the loud music or something but the alleged account from that article makes it sound like he was essentially looking for trouble. Regardless of motive, Nguyen allegedly took away a beloved member of the San Francisco community, and should face the consequences.
