Trenton Duckett has been missing since 2006. AMW aired his case twice in September 2006.
Trenton's parents, Melinda and Josh Duckett were going through a heated divorce in 2006. On Aug 27, 2006, Melinda reported him missing from her apartment in Leesburg, Florida. A week later, authorities did not believe Melinda's version of events regarding Trenton's disappearance. Melinda refused to take a polygraph while Josh did and passed it. Photographs and sonograms of Trenton along with some of his toys were found in a trash bin. Melinda told her attorney she took her and son and her shotgun to the Ocala National Forest and drove around Central Florida for eight hours. A witness saw her in Leesburg, Florida at this time.
On Sept 8, 2006, Melinda committed suicide in her paternal grandparent's home. She had previously done an interview with CNN's Nancy Grace who runs a legal related news program, her grandparent's filed a lawsuit saying that stress of the interview led her to kill herself. Melinda had previously stayed in mental hospitals in 2005 after she had threatened suicide. On Sept 21, 2006, Melinda was named the prime suspect in Trenton's disappearance.

Thoughts? It's possible that Melinda did kill Trenton and dumped his body somewhere in the area near her home. There was also a possible lead that Melinda may have spoken to a well-dressed Asian or Hispanic couple a few days before Trenton went missing and may have given Trenton to them. However I don't believe that really went anywhere.
Also about the Nancy Grace interview, I got sick of listening to her show several years ago because I could not stand how she talked, but the interview really I felt went a bit too far. Especially when she asked Melinda why she didn't take a polygraph, despite it rarely being allowed as evidence in a trial. Even a Harvard Professor said the interview contributed to Melinda's suicide. I don't know if Nancy knew that Melinda had been admitted for suicidal behaviour, but if she did then the interview was totally unacceptable.
The interview she did with Elizabeth Smart (can't remember exactly when) was also very poor and rude but that's another story.
