Douglas Liu (pictured top left) and Ramon Topete (pictured top right) are wanted by the FBI in connection with a violent crime. The case is a rare fugitive case out of Montana.
On Feb 8, 2004, Douglas Liu, Ramon Topete, and Victor Rivera planned on robbing a rival gang member and drug dealer in Great Falls, Montana. Prosecutors say Liu struck the drug dealer with a gun and Topete took tablets of an unknown substance. Rivera stabbed 18-year old Daniel Matt to death who was not the intended victim.
Rivera was eventually arrested and was sentenced to Federal prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit robbery. Topete was arrested in Billings, Montana and Liu was arrested in Spokane, Washington. Topete posted bond and Liu cut his ankle monitor bracelet and warrants for their arrest were issued in 2005. Topete and Liu grew up in the San Jose, California area and both are members of Norteno gang. They could be in or near Mexico.
Thoughts? They probably fled to Mexico at some point or they could be in Northern California, where the city of San Jose is. Also anyone find it weird that neither of them are charged with murder considering Daniel Matt was killed, unless that was blamed on Victor Rivera.

Admin Note #1: Douglas Liu was arrested in Texas on August 27th, 2015. Ramon Topete as far as we can tell is still at large as of November 28th, 2011. According to archived fbi.gov wanted posters, anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Ramon Topete should contact their nearest FBI field office or embassy or submit a web tip to them at tips.fbi.gov
