From CBS 5 Arizona: (2013 article):
PHOENIX (CBS5) -
It's been 14 years since a mom received a Mother's Day card, hug or even a phone call from her daughter.
That's because back in April of 1999, Tamera LaRue's daughter, Rebecca Rubalcava, was murdered.
Her body along with the body of William Rodriguez were found dumped in the Joshua Tree National Forest in April of 1999. Nearly 15 years have passed and investigators still have no leads on who killed them.
Rubalcava was just 20 years old when she was murdered.
"She looked just like Drew Barrymore. She was beautiful," said LaRue.
Over the years, LaRue has done everything to try and bring her daughter justice.
"I went to a psychic. They told me Steve knows. If she's got a friend out there named Steve who knows who killed her, he needs to come forward," said LaRue.
This weekend, LaRue decided to start back at square one. Rubalcava lived in central Phoenix near 17th Avenue and Buckeye Road. She made the trip here from Colorado, looking for answers she's never gotten from police.
"You know, the only thing that police have told me about her case is that she was raped. They have nothing to tell me except for that."
Yavapai County detectives have told LaRue they have very little to go on - only that her daughter's body was found with the body of Rodriguez off Highway 93 between Wickenburg and Kingman. Both had been shot to death.
"He went to a potter's grave. No one ever claimed his body," said LaRue.
If you have any information on the murders of Rubalcava and Rodriguez, call Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232. There is a $1,000 reward.

Thoughts? As mentioned, that article is from 2013 and it is now coming up on 18 years with Rebecca and William's murders being unsolved. Also, as of 1/18/2018, the case is still listed as unsolved on Yavapai Silent Witness: yavapaisw.com/cold-cases/
