Baltimore County police are seeking the public’s help in solving a homicide that occurred on December 12, 1994. George King, 45, was shot and killed during a robbery of the Prestige Messenger Service, which was located in the 1500-block of Canton Center Drive, 21227. The suspects stole several boxes containing loose coins during the robbery.
King was working for Prestige as an overnight dispatcher. On December 12, a coworker discovered the victim’s body in the parking lot behind a dumpster. Investigators determined that the killing occurred during a robbery. The unknown suspects stole several cases filled with coins from local pay phones that were stored in the warehouse. The cases are Cases filled with coins that were stolen from the victim's workplace.described as boxes made of black, brown, or gray plastic or vinyl with metal corners. They are 11.5” wide, 14” long and 5.5” deep, and weigh approximately 65 pounds when filled with coins. Five boxes were recovered near Woodberry in Baltimore City shortly after the crime but several are still missing.
King’s murder occurred two weeks before Christmas. His death has been devastating to his family members.
