Case details:
Daniel Burch is wanted on criminal charges for a 2015 traffic accident that took the lives of two people and injured four others.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says 50-year-old Robin Dinwiddie and her daughter, 27-year-old Kenda O'Leary, both from Eldon, were killed in the crash that occurred about 3:00pm on Wednesday April 8th.
According to the accident report, a semi-truck and trailer driven by then 62-year-old Daniel Burch, of Elizabeth, Illinois was headed west on Highway 54. Burch was approaching the intersection at Route W where several vehicles, including another semi-truck and trailer, were lined up at the intersection’s stoplight.
Daniel Burch’s 2007 Freightliner Tractor and Trailer, slammed so hard into the back Robin Dinwiddie’s 2004 Pontiac Vibe, that it caused a chain reaction in which eight vehicles were damaged.
In addition to the tragic deaths of Dinwiddie and O'Leary, Burch and three other people were injured. A 41-year-old female and a 42-year-old male suffered moderate injuries. A 46-year-old woman suffered serious injuries. Burch only had minor injuries.
Burch was soon arrested on suspicion of Careless and Imprudent Operation, and two possible counts of 2nd Degree Involuntary Manslaughter.
Burch apparently somehow became a wanted fugitive afterwards since he is listed on the Miller County Sheriff's Office website as one of their most wanted fugitives.

Thoughts? I'm assuming Daniel Burch (also referred to as Daniel A. Burch) bonded out and/or didn't show up for his court date. Burch was at least still at large as of August 2017 local radio and also based on the Miller County website itself I feel it's safe to assume he's still wanted as of this posting date. (1/8/2017).
It doesn't appear Burch was accused of being drunk, but he still allegedly drove in a careless and criminally negligent manner and at his age (65 as of this posting date), he should be responsible enough to take responsibility and/or defend/explain his side of the story in court.
