Guadalupe Jimenez has been wanted for four years in connection with a horrible crime that occurred over 30 years ago. He was aired on AMW in 2010.
In December 1979, Lois Hale and Gary Ryane were living in Los Angeles and were preparing for their wedding. During this time, their RV/Mobile Home Lot was experiencing a series of burglaries. On Jan 19, 1980, Gary left for work and Lois was sewing curtains when an intruder entered their small house through an unsecured window. The intruder raped Lois, bludgeoned and stabbed her to death with a pair of scissors, and even left bite marks on her neck. Lois's 15-year old daughter discovered her mother's body.
In 2006, investigators resubmitted a fingerprint found at the crime scene that had never been properly identified. Using advanced technology, the fingerprint was matched to Guadalupe Jimenez who also went by "El Barba". Jimenez was 24 when he killed Lois. Jimenez was known to hang out at an upholstery shop that would occasionally hire Lois for sewing jobs, that was also near Lois and Gary's home. A warrant was issued for his arrest in 2009.
Thoughts? The LAPD says that Jimenez was originally from Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico which is near Tijuana. He's worked as a machinist and an auto upholster so I can see him working on cars or even in Mexican factories (maquiladoras). He was last seen three days after Lois's murder when he was arrested for drunk driving in North Hollywood and had previously been deported on burglary, assault and weapons charges in California and Oregon. I also fear that Lois Hale has not been his only victim considering he's gotten away with her murder for over 30 years.
