OK it's that time of the year again where we vote for the best fugitive capture of the past year. To make this year's current list of nominees, I decided to include only AMW/Hunt aired fugitives and/or top list fugitives but feel free to check other if you want to go a different route. P.S. I also didn't count dead fugitives such as Donald Webb and Isnilon Hapilon since they technically weren't "captured" but feel free to vote for them in other too if you disagree.
I'm still waiting on that one year where a Robert Fisher or Yaser Said get captured after I already made the year-end poll so I can say "ok moot poll now "other" wins" but usually this late in the year is safe enough to make the list.
Anyway, I voted for William Greer who just made the cut late last month even though it's easy to get caught up in the moment and declare thelast capture the best. I know most of our regular posters here don't watch sports but I equate it to the Super Bowl. Every year there's a good game someone goes "that was the best Super Bowl ever" when there's been a bunch of good Super Bowls. It might have been a good game, but best ever is up for debate.
However, considering how many times William Greer was aired on AMW AND The Hunt, his being a US Marshals Top 15 and high profile fugitive, I feel I'm not just voting for him because he was the most recent great capture.
Number 2 would be Robert Van Wisse, but I have Greer's capture the edge because he had to be tracked down while Van Wisse voluntarily surrendered.
Anyway sorry for that long diatribe but looking forward to everyone's votes.
