On August 10, 1993, Gerardo Barajas allegedly shot and executed his friend Eric Fulte in Chula Vista, California. Eric's body was then dumped by the side of a road. Shortly after the murder, Gerardo fled the area is believed to be in Mexico.

Thoughts? I first learned about this case through an old FBI archived wanted page which I should have saved the link to. It did lead me to find the 2015 news release by the Chula Vista Police Department, and I confirmed through the San Diego County Warrants Search that Gerardo Barajas is still wanted.
