From kttv.com:
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) A mother is pleading for the community's help on the 12-year anniversary of her son's murder.
Tommy Kinslow was shot and left for dead in 2005 on Constitution near Academy outside the Georgetown Square condos.
The Kinslow family has never been the same since their son Tommy was gunned down right behind their home, just days before Thanksgiving.
"People sit around the table and talk about what they're thankful for and we sat at the mortuary," said Pam Kinslow, Tommy's mother.
Even though 12 years have gone by since her son was killed, she said it doesn't get any easier.
She remembers that fateful day vividly, including the moment she saw her son's body.
"I saw the police cars, fire department and ambulance and Tommy laying in the middle of the street," Pam said, "It's a sight I'll never forget."
She believes her son may have tried to stop someone from breaking into cars when he got home from work.
She said there was a fight and then her son was shot and left in the road.
"Anytime we leave the house we see it," she said.
An arrest was made in her son's case years ago, but it was later dismissed for lack of evidence.
Pam is pleading for anyone to help her find out who took her son's life.
"I miss him coming up behind me and giving me the big bear hugs. He was so much bigger than I am and just, that's just what I would want from him," she said.
While she said holidays like Thanksgiving are especially tough now, through family and friends she finds things to be thankful for.
If you know who killed Tommy you can remain anonymous and call Crime Stoppers at 719-634-STOP.
