Scumhunter you don’t know how thankful I am that you posted this case, I literally have spent the last 4 years trying to find this case after I stumbled upon an article on it saying they needed help solving a case of a missing woman that vanished 19 years ago. Even though it’s not as well known as other cases, there are a lot of unanswered questions in this situation, like what in the absolute heck happened on the way to Florida? Did her rich friend even pick Angela up? Or did the rich friend send a letter saying, I’ll wait for you in Florida Angela? Or was the rich friend from Florida planning on doing something sinister by picking her up?

There's not the most information for me to "sleuth" properly or come up with theories- but the craziest part of what little we know to me is the boyfriend said "oh she took off with some rich friend"- and it was actually true that she had that friend. There have been so many cases where the boyfriend says something like that, and the person doesn't even exist- let alone did they never meet that person.
The boyfriend is not mentioned as a suspect in the Charley Project article, and there's no indications there was any trouble in that relationship (although if the rich friend were a male it would indicate a rift or open relationship). So it's not fair to accuse him here unless more is known. It's also naive to not consider him a possible suspect unless more is known as well, but right now he hasn't been publicly named a suspect either.
If the police have any suspects, they're apparently keeping quiet.
This also means, as you asked toptenhunter, could it have been the rich friend who had something to do with Angela's disappearance?
Did Angela get abducted on her way to visit her rich friend? Just an unfortunate random stranger abduction?
Or did she simply run away?

She could have run off with her rich friend or she could have disappeared as she wanted to start over maybe because she was tired of her life and wanted something new in Florida. Or possibly she could have been abducted somewhere in between Mississippi and Florida by a random stranger such as an unknown serial killer.
