According to Newspapers.com, on March 3, 1996, 18-year old Ernest Simmons was in Escondido, California to visit his girlfriend. He was with his girlfriend and cousin, backing out of an apartment complex when two men began kicking the car. Ernest got out to confront the men and a fight began. Authorities say that Alejandro Lozano then showed up and allegedly stabbed Ernest to death. Alejandro fled the scene is believed to be in Sonora, Mexico.

Something else that the newspapers.com article from 1997 mentions that the Escondido Most Wanted page does not is that in 1996, Alejandro had a large tattoo across his back and a small tattoo on his left hand. Alejandro was also a member of the Diablos gang out of Escondido back in the in mid 1990s.
