During the flight, Caballero is alleged to have displayed a bottle with a liquid in it and a lighter and indicated that he wanted to be flown to Cuba. After making his demands, Caballero retreated to the bathroom at the rear of the plane and remained there until the plane landed in Havana, Cuba. A federal arrest warrant was issued for Caballero in the United States District Court, Eastern District of New York, on June 10, 1985, after he was charged with aircraft piracy. As of July 16th, 2018, Caballero is still listed on the FBI's website as one of their most wanted terrorists. (Same link as in the OP).

I think he is in Havana Cuba. He must be as that is the last place he travelled to and he ordered the plane to go in that direction. To recognise someone from the age of 39 to 77 is impossible. He is likely to have greg or white hair. Of course in some cases it is likely that he is dead at that age but he has been on the run for 38 years. It is similar to the Bradford bishop case as they are nearly both the same age and have been on the run for nearly the same amount of years so like Bradford bishop I don't think he will be caught. Where do you think this guy is ? He hijacked the plane in Tampa bay Florida and that is quite close to Cuba so he is probably there as of today.

He may be in Cuba, and it may possible he's not as "in hiding" as it seems as Cuba normally doesn't extradite fugitives who may be there for political reasons. (In recent years yes, but pre-2016, no).

Well he must be in Cuba as they said he ordered the plane to that place. His name suggests he may be from there. Do you have any information on him that I don't have ? The photo of him is not dated. Time must go really quickly for people his age. One moment your 39 and then 77 for some people it feels like you will never be old. He has had lots of time to run so he could be very well In a different place. Although if the FBI knew he was in Cuba all this time you would think they would have caught him by now.

As per usual if I had information on cases they would likely be here as I always look for updates on fugitive caaes. I agree he is most likely in Cuba.

Typically Cuba hasn't but there have been more instances of cooperation lately since a thaw in the frozen relations.
