From the New Jersey Herald website:
On Saturday, June 23, 1990, a vivacious and popular 27-year-old woman named Lisa Marie McBride mysteriously disappeared from her small home in Highland Lakes (Vernon) in the middle of the night. Her disappearance was reported to the Vernon police and a massive law enforcement investigation ensued, involving the Vernon police, surrounding police departments, the Sussex County Prosecutor's Office, state police and the FBI.
Thousands of leads were followed and hundreds of people were interviewed. Four months later, on Oct. 23, 1990, skeletal remains were discovered by a hunter in Sandyston along the Old Mine Road. These remains were eventually positively identified as being Lisa. The investigation continued, now as a homicide investigation, and officers remained vigilant on the case for several years. But the disappearance and death of Lisa Marie McBride remains unsolved.
Last week marked the 25th anniversary of Lisa's disappearance and death. As a detective involved in the case from the beginning, I wrote this letter to remind the public that members of law enforcement have not given up on this case.
Unfortunately Lisa's father, George McBride, recently passed away without ever knowing the truth behind what happened to his daughter. Lisa's mother and her remaining family members deserve closure to their 25-year mystery and pain.
There is someone who holds the key to this puzzle. Someone saw or heard something. The person or persons involved have probably not kept the secret to themselves throughout the years. Please help bring an end to this truly sad case.
If you have any information whatsoever, please call the Vernon police at 973-827-6155, the Prosecutor's Office at 973-383-1570 or you could remain anonymous and call the Sussex County Sheriff's Crimestoppers Tipline at 973-300-Crime (2746).

Thoughts? I am placing Lisa's case in the Unsolved on TV section since, according to IMDB, the search for her killer was profiled on the October 13th, 1990 episode of the short-lived true crime show "Missing: Reward": m.imdb.com/title/tt1166599/
According to a recent article listing the most notorious murder cases in each New Jersey county, Lisa McBride's sadly still remains the most well known murder case in Sussex County: www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2017/07/nj_cold_cases_from_21_counties.html
