The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in solving the murder of a Prescott woman who was killed in 2002.
Arleen Ruth Cilione, 60, was celebrating her birthday when she went missing, officials said.
She was last seen around 9:15 p.m. on Sept. 19, 2002, when she left Donna's Hut, a local bar at 444 W. Goodwin St. in Prescott, the Sheriff's Office said.
Cilione's family reported her missing after she failed to return home, officials said.
A motorist discovered Cilione's body in a remote wooded area 10 miles southwest of Prescott on Jan. 8, 2003, the Sheriff's Office said.
An autopsy later confirmed her identity and her death was treated as a homicide.
The YCSO Cold Case Unit conducted numerous interviews and served search warrants through the years in an attempt to identify a suspect, officials said.
Investigators continue to examine additional leads, including DNA evidence and a timeline of events involving those who had contact with Cilione prior to her death, the Sheriff's Office said in a press release.
The office asks anyone with information about the murder case to come forward by calling Yavapai Silent Witness at 1800-932-3232, or the Cold Case Unit at 928-777-7293.
