Photo Credit: azcentral.com via Yavapai County Sheriff's Office) From azcentral.com: The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in solving the murder of a Prescott woman who was killed in 2002. Arleen Ruth Cilione, 60, was celebrating her birthday when she went missing, officials said. She was last seen around 9:15 p.m. on Sept. 19, 2002, when she left Donna's Hut, a local bar at 444 W. Goodwin St. in Prescott, the Sheriff's Office said. Cilione's family reported her missing after she failed to return home, officials said. A motorist discovered Cilione's body in a remote wooded area 10 miles southwest of Prescott on Jan. 8, 2003, the Sheriff's Office said. An autopsy later confirmed her identity and her death was treated as a homicide. The YCSO Cold Case Unit conducted numerous interviews and served search warrants through the years in an attempt to identify a suspect, officials said. Investigators continue to examine additional leads, including DNA evidence and a timeline of events involving those who had contact with Cilione prior to her death, the Sheriff's Office said in a press release. The office asks anyone with information about the murder case to come forward by calling Yavapai Silent Witness at 1800-932-3232, or the Cold Case Unit at 928-777-7293.www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/arizona/2017/09/21/cold-case-prescott-woman-celebrating-her-birthday-before-her-murder-2002/687122001/Thoughts? Were the alibis of everyone at the bar checked out as to the time after Arleen left? I would have checked anyone who the patrons said left the bar a little after Arleen left.
