Photo Credits: NJ1015.com DOB: July 17, 1946 -- On Feb 22, 1989, Jaime Ruiz escaped from the Cura Residential Program in Essex County. He was initially sentenced on September 29, 1982 for robbery and murder and got a total of 24 years in prison. Further details about the murder and escape are not available online right now. Based on investigating agencies, it is advised to contact the New Jersey Department of Corrections at (609) 292-4036 if you have any information on Jaime Ruiz's whereabouts. We are requesting information on the murder that Jaime Ruiz was convicted of, as well as details on his escape. Any information or updated manhunt details can be sent to us at amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form --Thoughts? As usual there tends to be a problem with finding information about certain New Jersey fugitive cases online. I couldn't even find anything on Newslibrary or Newspapers.com and they've usually got New Jersey papers covered well. This case gets brought every so often when talking about prison escapees in New Jersey and the most recent report was in 2016 so he's most likely still at large. Hopefully he can be located since at the age of 71 he's probably still alive. nj1015.com/wanted-can-you-help-capture-new-jerseys-prison-fugitives/#photogallery-1=26

Just noticed I don't see Ruiz in the New Jersey DOC website escapees list and/or recent articled so not sure I can confirm him reasonably as of this update. (6/30/2018).
Of course, if anyone has any updates/proof-of-updates one way or the other, they are always more than welcome to let us know.
