Photo Credits: ABC 15 News -- On February 4, 1998, Tammy Meier and her nine-year old daughter, Chelsea Gragg left a dentist office to pick her Tammy's son from the babysitter. They never arrived and her van was later found a parking lot in Peoria, Arizona. It took until October for a hunter to find Chelsea's skull near Interstate 17. Tammy's remains were found in the same area five days later. The only person questioned that was publicly named was Tammy's ex-fiancee, John Schunn. He had an extensive criminal history, including sexually assaulting his wife at gunpoint. He was not charged in Tammy and Chelsea's murders, but in 2000 did receive two sentences for an unrelated, kidnapping, sexual assault and armed robbery conviction. Based on investigating agencies, it is advised to contact the Maricopa County Sheriff's Department at 602-876-8477 if you have any information on the murders of Tammy Meier and Chelsea Gragg.Moderator Note: If you have any news-related updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form --Thoughts? Thanks to forum member walshfan for determining this case was aired on AMW in early May 1998, while Tammy and Chelsea were still missing. The problem is that it looks like there's little to no evidence to work with. The cause of death was never determined according to ABC 15. Hopefully we can somehow get answers someday. web.archive.org/web/20170919182346/http://www.abc15.com/news/crime/old-time-crime-mother-daughter-found-dead-in-desert-in-1998-cause-is-still-a-mystery
