According to Newslibrary, in 1999, Jose Pena allegedly stabbed and wounded a man he suspected was having an affair with his wife. He then allegedly held his wife at knifepoint hostage until police showed up and arrested him. Jose was allowed out on bail but then fled after, possibly to Texas and then to his native El Salvador.

Thoughts? The 2015 article I found through Newslibrary was actually a view detailed overview regarding the Bergen County's Most Wanted list. It's believed the majority of the fugitives on the list have since fled the United States which is why there are so many cold case fugitives there. Hopefully Jose can be tracked to El Salvador if he did in fact flee there.
