According to Newslibrary archives, on January 20, 1990, Sandra Fritsch went to visit friends in Arkansas City, Kansas. The following morning her body was found in Samuel Gonzales's home. Sandra's throat had been cut, causing her death. Samuel Gonzales was stopped twice by authorities while in Sandra's car while on the way to Mexico, where he managed to cross the border through El Paso, Texas. On January 23, 1990, an arrest warrant was issued for Samuel Gonzales for the alleged murder of Sandra Fritsch. A man matching Samuel's description was seen dancing with Sandra at a local lounge the night she had been murdered.
Based on crime location, it is advised to contact the Cowley County Sheriff's Office at 620.221.5444 if you have any information on Samuel Aguilar Gonzales's whereabouts.

Thoughts? The only actual references to this case currently online is a brief mention of Samuel Gonzales on the Cowley County Most Wanted website and Sandra Fritsch's Find A Grave memorial page. Sadly, based on that it looks like there haven't been many decent leads over the years. The 1990 article did mention the FBI was involved in the manhunt, so hopefully they still are today as well.
EDIT: According to an additional newslibrary article I found and read, Samuel Gonzales while living in Arkansas City had been working in a packing plant. It's possible he still might be in that line of work today.
