Photo Credits: Crime Stoppers of Houston Race/Sex: U / M Eyes: BLK Skin: MED DOB: 4/13/1940 US Citizen: Unknown -- According to an archived Montrose Voice newspaper, on October 26, 1985, John William Gansky and his friends had been drinking when they went to the restaurant owned by Vichit Parnarom. John went behind the restaurant to urinate which Vichit noticed when he was leaving the restaurant. An argument started and John threw a can and struck one of Vichit's employees. Vichit then went to his car, grabbed a gun and allegedly shot John to death. Vichit was arrested and charged with murder, but posted bond and fled. Based on crime location, it is advised to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS if you have any information on Vichit Parnarom's whereabouts.Moderator Note: If you have any additional information or news-related updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form --Thoughts? A lot of things were allegedly done that should not have happened on both of sides of this argument. John should not have threw a can and hit one of Vichit's employees, but Vichit should not have allegedly got a gun from his car and shot John to death. What he should have done is called the police to have John be arrested. I also checked and the name "Vichit" appears to be Thai in origin so there's a good chance that he fled to Thailand after being released on bond. Also thanks to HoustonLGBTHistory for keeping the 1985 newspaper article archived which just happened to have the story on this murder as well. www.houstonlgbthistory.org/Houston80s/Voice/Montrose%20Voice/Voice-85-110185.compressed.pdf (Go to page 7) web.archive.org/web/20120121021638/http://www.crime-stoppers.org:80/mostwanted.html

A warning shot maybe, but actually shooting the guy. The point is he should still argue his side in court instead of going on the run. Hard to tell unless a trial happens, but this sounds to me like a reckless homicide case as opposed to a first degree murder case.
