An altercation during a game of pool late Saturday sparked a shooting in southeast Houston that left one man dead and another hospitalized, police said.
Jose Angel Contreras, 32, of the 8200 block of Gulick died after being shot in the face and torso just before midnight at a residence in the 8100 block of Holiday Lane. Adrian Oswaldo Moreno, 23, of the 500 block of Avenue F was shot in the elbow and was taken to Ben Taub Hospital for surgery.
Charged with murder and aggravated assault is Manuel Alberto Regino, 23, of the 600 block of Perth. Police said the shooting occurred when Regino was followed to the Holiday Lane residence by Contreras and Moreno after the altercation at Contreras' house.
Investigators said Regino fled in a black Ford F-150 pickup with Texas license plate 5YK-N35.

Thoughts? I checked Harris County court records for vital statistics (height, weight, etc.) but didn't see anything for a "Manuel Regino" so it looks like he was never arrested before he allegedly murdered Jose Conteras. Not sure if Manuel was born in the US or Latin America, so that would influence whether an arrest in Latin America would be easier or more difficult.
