Photo Credits: Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers -- Right after midnight on August 3, 2008, the girlfriend of Javier Adame brought into their home a police scanner that had been left inside a grocery bag. When Javier plugged in the scanner, a pipe bomb inside exploded, killing Javier. A similar explosion the previous day also in the community of Moses Lake, Washington, killed William "Bill" Walker. Authorities say that William's death was a case of mistaken identity, but Javier's death was believed to be drug related. It should be noted that William was assisted by a man named Andy Otto whom in 2004 was arrested for marijuana possession, Andy feared that he, not William was the target of the bomb. Based on media publications, it is advised to contact Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers at 509-586-8477 if you have information on the murders of William Walker and/or Javier Adame.

-- Thoughts? This case was examined in great detail by an Oregon Live news report on drug cartel violence in Oregon. The major concern is that these killers are not just low level local drug dealers, but potential drug cartel members who were operating in Oregon at the time. If that's the case then identifying will not be easy, but I've seen tougher cases eventually solved. tri-cities.crimestoppersweb.com/sitemenu.aspx?ID=411&P=unsolvedwww.oregonlive.com/pacific-northwest-news/index.ssf/2013/06/drug_cartels_in_oregon_violenc.html

Not excusing Javier's death but feel especially bad for Bill Walker who was literally murdered for no reason.
