Okay this technically isn't comment related but Youtube is social media so I'm complaining about it here. If you type in America's Most Wanted into Youtube you'll find 1% AMW content and 99% content that has absolutely nothing to do with the TV show. Anyone else have issues with this?

^ YES! The worst is when you type in "AMW," because apparently some people use that interchangeably with "AMV," which means anime music video. And that idiot Lil' Wayne named his tour the "America's Most Wanted" tour, so all these rap songs show up too. I've also discovered that there was a 7th Heaven episode titled "America's Most Wanted."

This isn't really about AMW/The Hunt but this sort of relates somewhat. I some times see this site's cases are shared on Facebook- which is great- what it's about- but what really pisses me off is when the cases are used to make a political statement by the user.
I found out right now Jesus Salazar's profile is being shared all over the place by some anti-immigration groups. And while getting it more views is great- I don't like the underlying tone of racism involved. I agree we need better immigration laws but not every immigrant here illegally came here to commit crimes. I ABSOLUTELY agree there is a problem with illegal immigration and crime and perhaps the sites that originally posted to our profile want to help but some of the people sharing Salazar's photo from those groups sort of give off the impression that they're- well- racist.
I also once saw someone share a photo of a black fugitive (forget who), post it to the NCAAP or one of those type of pages and ask "Why does Al Sharpton not do anything about black-on-black crime? Hypocrite." *sigh*
I post these cases to get justice for families. Salazar's photo should be shared with the intention of getting justice for Felicia Ruiz. A black fugitive's photo should be shared to get justice for the family of whoever he affected just like a white fugitive's photo should. Good and bad guys come in all shapes and sizes.
Please by all means share the cases on this site. But if it's to enhance your political agenda, you can go bleep yourself.

I'm not mentioning this person's name, but someone replied to John Walsh's Facebook post that referenced the US having the largest sex trafficking problem globally. He claims that Walsh's group has over-exaggerated the amount of child prostitutes in the US because he works in the porn business and has only seem a few underage clients.
I'm like, if you work in the legal porn business then chances are you aren't going to see very many of the child prostitutes that work the streets of the US.
Also on the same post, people are still wanting AMW to come back.

Yeah not going to judge the industry he works in- to each their own- but it's not exactly the place you're going to see such things.
And yeah, some people are still asking where AMW is. Some people probably are unaware of anything that happened after Fox cancelled it in 2011 and the Lifetime years and last year with The Hunt never happened.
When I don't know about something I Google it rather than looking like an idiot on a Facebook post, but that's just me...

The polar opposite of this really annoying friend I have on Facebook. I used to post all the time in college that I was watching "AMW," and pretty much every single night, she'd comment saying "I didn't know that show was still on the air." Grrrr! Duh, it's still on the air, otherwise why am I watching it?! I finally blocked her from reading my statuses because it got so annoying.

Latest annoying fan comment. Someone replied to John Walsh's post regarding the success of the Amber Alert system by saying that the Adam Walsh Act violates the US Constitution and placed in danger more families and children than any other man in history.
Wow I didn't know the Adam Walsh Act could be worse than the dictatorships of Hitler and Stalin, NOT!

Just saw this tweet: "Warning do NOT watch THE HUNT on @cnn with @johnwalshamw it is all a push for Obama's illegal push. Diseased rapists murders thief's"
WTF? I don't like to get too political on here, but Obama just like Bush or any other President has done things I agree with and disagree with. But that is just straight up paranoia.
I also have seen people complain when CNN shows "John Walsh" instead of the news. These idiots obviously haven't been paying attention since The Hunt is not the only non-news program CNN and the channel has increased their documentary non-news programming significantly in the past few years. At least The Hunt is informative and does a public service. If you're going to complain about John Walsh, don't be a hypocrite and complain about Anthony Bourdain, Mike Rowe, Morgan Spurlock, etc. being on CNN as well. Otherwise it looks like you have an agenda.
MSNBC also plays non-news programs such as "Caught on Camera" and "Lockup" during the weekend and Fox News shows a variety of programs as well.
One of my favorite tweets was when someone complained The Hunt was on and said they were going to switch to Fox News since it was the "real news."
I don't think I need to clarify the irony of that statement.

New complaint- either I'm in a bad mood or it's just a record-setting day- I just made a post on our Facebook page saying for all those who say what a travesty it is that AMW's website is gone, you can visit us at amwfans.com to keep up-to-date on captures from the old show and those still on the run. I just got a comment "I wish the AMW website still updated so I can keep up to date on captures and those still on the run." *sigh*

Checked the IMDB page for The Hunt and found on the message board a new complaint about the show. The poster was complaining that the show focused on "solved cases" rather than the disappearance of Madeleine McCann (which was aired on AMW). Okay first off, aside from re-runs, every case The Hunt has profiled was unsolved at the time of the airing. Second, as much as I want Madeleine located, that is going to be a very difficult case to solve (who knows who is responsible for her disappearance after every lead and theory), and it would be more beneficial to feature a known recent fugitive case which would be much easier to solve.

Most of the "fans" who suggest cases for The Hunt have obviously not watched the show. It's not even that they'll suggest a missing child case (as I always said, of course I want to rescue a missing child, but I favor cases with known kidnappers and/or that are more recent because there's a better chance at solving them), but they'll suggest cases like McCann's that are in other parts of the globe or missing child cases from 1981. Not only do suggest cases that aren't fugitives on a fugitive show (once again, not saying I don't care about other cases- but catching fugitives is the main theme of The Hunt), but the cases they do select are usually old and completely unsolvable. This isn't Unsolved Mysteries where the point is to profile the baffling- there is a huge effort to solve these cases (of course Unsolved wanted to solve them too but there's a little more leeway for cases with nothing to go on for that show in my opinion). Granted The Hunt did profile Jacob Wetterling but there were some new clues and theories in the case.

It's technically not anyone's fault and I'm not sure if this relates entirely, but am I the only one who sees "top 10 most wanted fugitive" captured in Google news feed trying to find out about AMW/crime stories and you get all excited, but then when you click on the link it's like "Nowheresville County Top 10 fugitive wanted for shoplifting at a CVS" captured? I need to stop falling for that and getting my hopes up LOL.

Oh yeah, that too. Granted it will likely be a good capture- it's an FBI case but the headline will read "FBI Most Wanted"- getting your hopes up it could be Jason Derek Brown or Fidel Urbina- only to click and discover it's a guy on the overall website. Still an awesome capture, but their lack of making the distinction gets my hope up for an "even more awesome" capture.

John Walsh has even made the mistake of saying John List was on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted List for 20 years. Um...no, he wasn't
