The comments that always have annoyed me the most over the years have always involved parental abductions because it shows a double standard way too many people have when it comes to parents who kidnap their kids. If the father does it,the child's life is in danger and we have to find him before he harms his kid(s) and if AMW has to profile him every week,so be it. If the mother is the kidnapper though, she must have a good reason for it and how dare AMW/The Hunt etc. profile her when they could be chasing after fugitives who are a true danger to the public. Sad to say but as we've all seen over the years on AMW,just because a woman gives birth it doesn't mean she's a mother. Yes,there have been the rare cases where a mother is taking her kids because they will be harmed if dad has access to them but virtually all of the cases of parental abduction male or female boil down to one thing and one thing only. Revenge against the other parent. Someone who does that doesn't have their child's best interests at heart and should be viewed as a danger to them. Amen, I have constantly mentioned this on here. The number one goal that John Walsh says and what I feel of this site as well is to protect women and children. But the hypocrisy when it comes to female fugitives is mind-boggling. Meagan Everett had her daughter hanging around white supremacists with guns. Maria Cabrera-Gutierrez when captured was said to have her son living in squalor-like conditions. These mothers can be physically or mental abusive or mentally ill (and once again I am very sensitive to mental illness since it runs in my family but that actually makes me understand even more why a mentally ill mother possibly or probably should not be around her son or daughter without help). Or they can just be unfit and make poor choices such as hanging around pedophiles or bad men in genral that threaten the children's safey. Also, while we're here, a woman just complained to In Pursuit's Facebook page about Michael Hawkins' 15 seconds of shame segment where they mentioned he was wanted for a raping a wheelchair-bound woman. She was offended by the terminology wheelchair-bound. And all I'm thinking is fair point or not did you share Michael Hawkins photo to help get him captured before posting your complaint? Maybe if people spent less time getting offended at the verbiage when the show literally had only 15 seconds to show Hawkins' photo, and more time sharing his photo, he would have been captured by now. (And really this is life in general, every day someone's getting offended by something some celebrity said or did and it's like sometimes they have a fair point but if only we could be so outraged about fugitives who murder people, molest children etc... as well )

I agree. I would love to see the outrage people get over someone saying something stupid and have that directed towards catching bad guys/protecting victims etc.

One other thing that always annoyed me (and we covered it in the Anthony Quick thread) is how some folks would complain about AMW sometimes featuring bad guys and gals who weren't wanted for murder or rape or robbery but were instead wanted for fraud, credit card theft etc, especially when the amount taken wasn't in the millions. As I mentioned in that thread, losing a few hundred or a couple of thousand might not matter if you're a millionaire(still wrong to steal from them) but it certainly matters to the 99% of us who aren't. If nothing else these crooks operate by preying on people's trust and don't stop until they are caught and even when they are caught (and in some cases sent to prison) the minute they get back out they do the same things again. That makes them threats to the public and worthy of being on AMW.
To go along with that, the folks complaining about some AMW cases assume someone shown on AMW for non-violent crimes can't be dangerous. The story of Kelton Nakail Birdow that I posted the other day should put that theory to bed. At the time he was making the rounds as one of America's dumbest criminals on various shows(hard to fault the cops since the ATM crimes were so stupid),no one had any idea he was a double murderer as well,as his link to that crime wouldn't come until four years later (and two years after AMW busted him.) One of the cops who worked the ATM robbery cases said that it taught him a valuable lesson. Never make assumptions about anyone,no matter how stupid or harmless they appear to be. They could be far more dangerous then you realize.

It's technically not anyone's fault and I'm not sure if this relates entirely, but am I the only one who sees "top 10 most wanted fugitive" captured in Google news feed trying to find out about AMW/crime stories and you get all excited, but then when you click on the link it's like "Nowheresville County Top 10 fugitive wanted for shoplifting at a CVS" captured? I need to stop falling for that and getting my hopes up LOL. I have the perfect example, I saw a headline "fifth top 10 most wanted fugitive" captured in my Google news feed and I was like hasn't the FBI caught four people so far this year, oh wow! and then I realized it was just some guy from Upstate New York on the "Oneida County Top 10 List" wanted for grand larceny. (Not excusing grand larceny as it's still a serious crime, but come on now! LOL) wibx950.com/fifth-fugitive-top-ten-most-wanted-list-captured/Three years later and it still never fails me- google and see "most wanted fugitive caught"- click on the link excited it's someone from AMW, only to learn it's "Erie County most wanted for probation violation" LOL. www.goerie.com/news/20190426/most-wanted-fugitive-caught-in-ohio

So on In Pursuit there is a 15 seconds of shame female fugitive named Andrea Heming, wanted for allegedly putting poisoning in her husband's Lucky Charms to avoid having sex with him. They posted about her on their Facebook page today. My complaint isn't where you think this might be headed. Thankfully the husband survived and obviously I would be singing a different tune if I were him and would never eve want to go through what he went to, however I feel because he survived this story is fair game for jokes even. (Even I made a joke). Like it's one of those stories so bizarre while not condoning it you understand it is ripe for jokes and you can't pretend it's a normal not unique crime story. My issue is two female commenters basically replied "how do we know she didn't do it because the husband was raping her while she was sleeping?" I've stated time and time again the number one goal of this forum is to protect women and children and the most vulnerable. I'm a #MeToo, Time's Up guy and consider myself a male feminist why not. It is normally men who are violent serial killers or mass shooters. If it weren't for women and it was just men we would have blown ourselves up by now etc.. etc.. etc... But why is it every time there's a female fugitive on a John Walsh show wanted for a crime against a man there is always a woman defending her and reasoning why she must be innocent. It doesn't matter the type of violent of parental abduction crime, there is always a female commenter popping up to defend her! Men can be victims too! Men can be domestic violence or even rape victims of women but it is a largely underrepresented statistic because they are too embarrassed to come forward. Now this husband who could have died is automatically assumed to be the culprit instead of the fact legally speaking it is believed he is the victim, while the accused is on the run instead of at trial. I'm just sick and tired of this the woman always abducted her kid for good cause, or she must have harmed/killed the husband because she was beaten or harmed by him crap (not that those types of cases don't happen). What makes this even more infuriating is how many women are agreeing with or liking the "how do we know he wasn't raping her?" comments. I know I've talked a lot about how women are the number one demographic of true crime and I'm not trying to turn this into a man vs. woman thing or make our forum such. Quite frankly, I'll even admit USUALLY us men are the worst and I'm sorry for you ladies out there that have to constantly put up with us. However, women can be evil also and women can commit crimes against men and it would be nice to not make assumptions and cast blame on men who may be potential victims and ARE ACTUALLY CONSIDERED THE VICTIM BY THE LAW before jurors or the law can decide the facts of a case.

Actually in retrospect I read the article and in fairness to my rant the wording of the ID CrimeFeed article actually says "to prevent him from having sex with her while she was sleeping"- still we don't know the context of what that exactly means- maybe he liked to wake her up and ask to have sex or something and she just wanted to get sleep I don't know- some couple may have weird routines in their bedroom lol. Or maybe she was lying and she simply poisoned him because she wanted to or didn't want to have sex in general. Taking back my rant somewhat now (although the general gist is there's still always a defense when the fugitive is female) that I see the context and now I can see why there was that interpretation- but we still don't know all the facts and there's a lot of jumping to conclusions- and poisoning your husband or allegedly poisoning still shouldn't be condoned. I think the article may have just had an unfortunate wording choice which has lead to some of the comments. Some of the other articles on the internet Heming was just simply "tired of having sex with him" as her reasoning and that her husband also claims she told him she once gave a passenger a sedative when she was a flight attendant.

They updated the article about Heming to make it clear it was simply unwanted sex with him and mentioning the husband having video evidence of putting powder in her food. Some people are still defending her after the article updated since they're morons, but at least In Pursuit tried.

Your rant was just fine with me. Let's be clear about one thing. The majority of murders and attempted murders, rapes, domestic violence etc. are committed by men. A woman at any age is in danger of being a victim of sexual assault, murder etc. while the danger goes down for men as they get older. In many cases of women who kill their husbands, there are valid claims of physical, emotional or sexual abuse that led to it so I can certainly understand why many women thought there was more to the story of the woman you mentioned. However,as we've seen on AMW and elsewhere over the years, women are just as capable of men are of doing murders, sex crimes etc. not because of abuse etc. but because they're evil. Look at AMW Captures like Susan Peterson or Linda Allende Santos for example. They were unhappy in their marriages but rather then get a divorce, they decided murdering their husbands was a better option. In those cases, there was no abuse, just a selfish person deciding murder was an acceptable solution to their problem. Or some of the "mothers" AMW has shown like Mona Volgares who decided they needed a man in their life no matter what and if their kids had to be harmed or killed by that man,too bad. AMW Captures also included people like Maggie Carr and Desiree Dawn Lingo-Perkins who took part in kidnapping and murder plots and Malaika Griffin who carried out a racist murder of her white neighbor. Courtney Savage, who has made an appearance(at last count) on four different programs dealing with female criminals still downplays the crimes that got her on AMW since she wasn't a murderer. As has been made clear numerous times,it was a matter of inches with a couple of her bullets where it would have been otherwise. And as for mothers who kidnap their kids always having a good reason,I think of Megan Everett who had her daughter hanging out with Neo Nazis or Phyliss Harless, who didn't think it was an issue to have her daughter around a man who had been married to a woman profiled on AMW for the murder of her own son(Kathie Harless.) A woman he chose to go on the run with and expose the other kids he had with her to harm,no surprise given his history of neglect. And some people think her daughter wasn't in danger around someone like that? Bottom line, while it's rarer, women can and have committed horrible crimes because they're just as evil as the men AMW has profiled. The fact some people chose to not believe that is one of the reasons they can get away with it more often.

True, and yeah the main point of my rant is still in tact, just Andrea Heming wasn't the best example. That is NOT to cast aspersions on the husband or criticize the writer of the ID article, just the original wording left things open for interpretation and even when they fixed it the posters who read the original article already had their minds made up and it's hard to undo a human being's initial assumptions.
But my main point is whenever you see a Facebook posting where the fugitive is female and the "alleged" victim is a male- there is usually one if not more female posters commenting on why she must be innocent and/or harmed the male for good reason (or abducted his child for good reason).

Extending this to Live PD since their FB page is getting a lot of bad feedback about Kevin Massey’s feature. Basically people think he didn’t do anything wrong and that he’s an “American hero who actually is doing something regarding the Southern border”.
I think people really are forgetting that Kevin was found with 20 explosive devices on him and is wanted for federal probation violation. Additionally, Kevin is reportedly a supporter of Timothy McVeigh.

It astounds me the amount of hatred people have on the internet- but what else is new. Those people can go f*** themselves.

I guess I'll take over for HeadMarshal this week in pointing out moronic comments on the Live PD Facebook page after week 2 of Live PD: Wanted
One person said in response to Hugo Villanueva-Morales that "these are the types of illegal immigrants Trump is trying to get rid of"
For those who have seen the border situation and mothers separated from their babies and many controversies involving non-criminals who have been in this country for decades, we can see it's not just the criminal illegals that Trump is trying to get rid of, but anyone that is brown-skinned.
Another person commented that Sam Cross looked like "democrat Al Green." Granted he actually does and it was a somewhat amusing comment if they just mean he looks like him but it was the fact that he emphasized he was a Democrat that seemed sort of off-putting to me, like basically hey this triple murderer looks like a Democrat.
Contrary to what it looks like, the majority of Americans do not like Trump. He lost the popular vote by three million votes and only won because of the antiquated electoral college. Unfortunately the Trump trolls are a lot more vocal on the internet than the Trump haters. But is just very annoying how every post someone has to chime in with a political comment. It should be about catching the fugitive. Granted sometimes it will be a liberal making a comment too which I also don't agree with but for the most part is usually Trump trolls posting with "yet another illegal" "Maybe he's hiding at Obama's house" "It's ok the Democrats will give him 30 days in jail and tell him don't kill anyone again." Like there's 10 of those comments to every occasional "put Trump on the most wanted list" comment.
Unfortunately the Trump trolls outnumber the haters on the Fugitive-related Facebook pages simply because they're more vocal with the ability to hide behind their laptops, not because they represent how most of us normal people feel.
I just wish people would shut the f*** up and just focus on catching the fugitive and getting justice for the victim than adding their stupid political opinions/political bent no one asked for to the postings.

I'm going to chime in here for hopefully the only time.
I liked In Pursuit's Facebook page today and I was scrolling through the comments. A few days ago, the page shared a story about missing child Rondreiz "Junior" Phillips and how to commemorate the anniversary of his disappearance, family and friends held a vigil and launched balloons. One of the comments was someone posting about how people shouldn't launch balloons because it's bad for the environment. Look, don't get me wrong - I agree that there are better options available. But seriously, there's a time and a place for that conversation. Commenting on a story about a family grieving the disappearance of their loved one is not the right time or place. It just makes you look insensitive.
Reminds me of that scene in "Home Alone" where, after they discover Kevin is gone, Uncle Frank says, "If it makes you feel any better, I forgot my reading glasses!"

They do the balloon thing at the end of practically every episode of "The First 48." I'm an environmental guy myself but my complaint isn't that but releasing the balloons has become a bit cliche and overdone, but obviously as you said there's a time and place and it wasn't the appropriate time for the user to make that comment.
P.S. I see someone has also been watching the Home Alone reruns on cable lol.
