VEHICLE/S: Dark medium sized sedan; or maroon, 1998, Dodge, Stratus, 4 door, partial
plate Arizona 522; or dark colored, older, Honda, Accord, “boxy.”
On Tuesday, September 29, at 6:55 p.m. the victim Ariana Mendez was crossing westbound
across 43rd Avenue at Virginia with her mother and two siblings when unknown suspect/s in
the listed vehicle were traveling northbound on 43rd Avenue and struck the victims. All victims
were injured but Ariana died as a result of the collision.

Thoughts? It's been about eight years since the driver killed Ariana and seriously injured her family members, and the fact that he/she has not surrendered to police proves what kind of monster this driver is. Even more disturbingly is that this driver probably still has a vehicle and is a danger to every other pedestrian. Hopefully someone can think back to September of 2009 and remember someone who either owned or had access to a similar kind of vehicle.
