Photo Credits: WREG News DOB: 11/21/1989 Age: 27 Sex: M Race: B Hair: BLK Eye: BRO Hgt: 601 Wgt: 175 -- On February 6, 2017, authorities in Memphis say that Antoine Adams and Octavius Bland were thinking of robbing Marquis Bell. Antoine and Octavius got into an argument with Marquis in a convenience store parking lot. That's when one of the two men pulled out a pistol and shot Marquis to death. Octavius was arrested nine days later but Antoine went on the run. According to the family of Marquis Bell, Antoine called them to say he was sorry but said he would not turn himself in. Admin Note #1: Adams was eventually captured in August 2017 but escaped from a Mississippi prison in November 2017. He is now a suspect in three murders overall. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has added him to their Top 10 Most Wanted list is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for his capture. Anyone with information should call the agency at 1-800-TBI-FINDAdmin Note #2: If you have any news-related updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form --Thoughts? Unbelievably (but not surprisingly unfortunately), Antoine actually called the victim's family to apologize that Marquis was killed, but he wasn't going to man up and turn himself in. I don't care whether he or Octavius was the one who shot Marquis, both of them are allegedly guilty as a result of association, and conspiring to rob Marquis as well. The article most recently was done on June 19 and I confirmed through the Shelby County warrants search that Antoine Adams is still at large. web.archive.org/web/20170703123756/http://wreg.com/2017/06/19/family-no-one-is-safe-until-accused-murderer-is-behind-bars/

Time for him to man up and turn himself in.

I read the way he escaped, by pushing the plexiglass window, squeezing through the frame and going under the fence that was not covered by barbed wire. They were actually going to do upgrades to the security the day after he escaped. Makes me wonder how many other small-town jails need security updates as well in the US. And now he's suspected in a total of three murders, I agree that this just got a whole lot worse. He'll probably be easy to catch, but I fear he's going to not want to be taken alive.

It is strange how this case took such a turn. You take a look at the initial murder we knew about, and it wasn't even clear if he was the shooter. And while him calling the victim's family to apologize was b.s., and he was still obviously dangerous and on the run since he was accused of murder, you also say to yourself he's just a frigging weirdo who shouldn't be hard to catch.
Then he was caught, but somehow escaped and is arguably a borderline serial or spree killer if he's indeed guilty of the crimes he's accused of being involved in.
How to go from bizarre possible accomplice to borderline serial killer is quite dramatic but I hope with the media attention on his case he's caught very soon.
