BURLEY • The Cassia County Sheriff’s Office wants the public’s help to find a suspect in a 1999 murder whose victim was stuffed in a car trunk.
Samuel Reza Rogel, 38, is wanted on a first-degree murder charge in the shooting of David Fuentes, 19, said Detective Robert Taylor.
The case has remained open, and detectives have continued to work on it, Taylor said.
Authorities found Fuentes’ body stuffed in the trunk of Rogel’s car, parked at Oriental Avenue and Main Street in Burley.
Fuentes apparently was shot in the chest by a .22-caliber rifle after an argument Aug. 2, 1999, at Rogel’s rented room at 734 Elba Ave.
Authorities suspect Fuentes was shot there, then walked to the end of the driveway, where he died.
Jose Albarido, who had rented the room to Rogel, told authorities that Rogel spent a good deal of time in Logan, Utah, but returned to Burley during harvest season to drive a sugar beet truck
A witness who reported the shooting told officials the murder might have been gang-related.
Based on crime location, it is advised to contact the Cassia County Sheriff's Office at (208) 878-1002 if you have any information on Samuel Rogel's whereabouts.

Thoughts? I want to give credit to the Cassia County Sheriff's Office for keeping a directory of it's most wanted fugitives when the majority of large cities and counties don't do that. Samuel is the only fugitive according to that website wanted for homicide and he needs to be caught soon to make that designation "no fugitives wanted out of the county for homicide".
