COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Officials are searching for a man who they say intentionally rammed into the back of a vehicle, flipping it over and causing injuries to the victims.
Investigators with the Columbia Police Department say 41-year-old Fitzgerald McNeil, also known as Jami Raqib Salaam, is wanted for attempted murder in a traffic collision.
Police Chief Randy Scott says that around 12:30 Thursday morning, a 1999 Ford Explorer was hit from behind by McNeil's 1986 Chevy Suburban on Millwood Avenue.
The female passenger in the victim's vehicle was thrown from the SUV and sent to the hospital with severe injuries. The male driver was sent to the hospital and later released.
After the collision, McNeil fled the scene on foot.
Based on crime location, it is advised to contact Columbia area Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC if you have any information on Fitzgerald McNeil's whereabouts.

Thoughts? Some quick backstory, there is an A&E television series called Live PD which is similar to COPS but it follows live work of several police officers across the US through a command post. Tom Morris of AMW who we have had the honour of asking questions is one of the show's commentators.
I watched a re-run of the April 8, 2017 episode and found out that they do a brief fugitive profile per episode. Fitzgerald McNeil was featured on that episode. Luckily I was able to find the 2010 article, and thanks to WACH news for keeping the article online. According to the broadcast, the Richland County Sheriff's Officer also mentioned that Fitzgerald is wanted for sexual conduct as well.
Live P&D gets re-runs of the previous episodes on A&E and it's a very popular success according to the Nielsen Ratings, so hopefully it will be on the air for several years to come. I haven't seen any articles on a capture or any new leads following the airing last April, so hopefully either through our forum or through a Live PD re-run, Fitzgerald's near seven-year run on the run comes to an end.
