In 1993, career criminal Arturo Rangel pled guilty to child molestation in Fresno, California but fled before he would have been sentenced. For years, investigators thought that Arturo might have fled the US. In 1994, Alvaro Rodriguez shot and killed Francisco Salazar to death in Kaufman, Texas. Alvaro fled to Mexico and lived there for three years. What investigators didn't know was in 1997, Alvaro moved to Wichita, Kansas. Last August, Alvaro was featured in the first edition of Kaufman County's Most Wanted and that produced a tip that led to Alvaro living in Wichita under an alias. In 2005, a man using the false identity of Joe Anthony Mercado Ortiz fled Springfield, Tennessee after posting a $125,000 bond. He had been charged with several counts of sexual assault of a child. A few days ago, authorities got word that he was living in Hayti, Missouri with a woman he had fled with in 2005. In 2008, Charlotte, North Carolina authorities charged Ruben Garcia Padron with shooting into an occupied car. As a result, one victim was killed and two others sustained gunshot wounds. On September 21st, the US Marshals Service located Ruben Padron in Victoria, Texas and arrested him. www.usmarshals.gov/news/chron/2016/092116c.htm

In 1979, Ricardo Garcia-Godos McBride was convicted of drug charges and sentenced to 12 years in prison. The following year, he escaped from a Florida prison. He has finally been arrested in Lima, Peru! www.thesundaily.my/news/2041294

In 1997, Tina Stone walked away from an Oklahoma halfway house where she was serving a seven-year sentence for second-degree forgery. She had been arrested several times in Texas afterwards but could not be extradited since her warrant had expired. This past June a new law had passed that allowed for permanent arrest warrants to be issued in cases where inmates escaped from state custody. In 2003, Jose Alberto Rendon fled Rutherford County, Tennessee after a warrant was issued for the aggravated sexual battery of a child. He was on Tennessee's 10 Most Wanted List for several years.
