I figured since often it is unique when a cold case fugitive is captured but has never been on AMW/The Hunt or other shows, its' somewhat worth mentioning but at the same time non-AMW related and not exactly appropriate for the AMW captures section. So I thought we can have a general thread for when a cold case fugitive is captured but to the best of our knowledge he or she's never been on AMW or other shows. If one of us knows otherwise, and we stand corrected, even better. So to start off a non-AMW cold case capture of a fugitive on the run since 1984. Paul Allen Moses allegedly murdered a woman from Joplin, Missouri back then, and with assistance from the FBI was arrested in San Diego last week at the age of 64: www.utsandiego.com/news/2013/aug/30/fugitive-arrested-in-1984-murder-case/

Good thread idea Scumhunter. Hopefully partnerships from local and federal law enforcement agencies can help find more cold case fugitives.

www.star-telegram.com/2013/09/06/5139618/federal-fugitive-for-41-years.htmlIn 1972, Robert Leroy Parker escaped from a Federal Prison in Oklahoma where he was serving a sentence for mail theft. It was determined that the now 62-year old fugitive died on Tuesday at a home outside of San Angelo, Texas where he had been living since 2002. The cause of death was determined to be natural causes and he had using the name Charles Johnson.

I saw that yesterday and thought besides the escape factor the case wasn't really interesting enough to mention here since he wasn't wanted for anything heinous. But on second thought, anytime a dead person is discovered to actually be a fugitive on the run for 41 years it is a pretty unique story, regardless of how big or small the crime they were wanted for was.

Great capture! It is funny how such little things lead to captures. The routine traffic-stop is always a favorite of mine when it comes to AMW's indirect captures.

Excellent! Maybe there's some hope in finally capturing Wilfredo Cabel and Guillermo Ramirez (both may be in the Philippines).
