"CAUTION Danny Liggett is wanted for the murder of a man in New York City
(Manhattan) on May 7, 1987. On that date, Liggett was taken by a female
acquaintance to see a man about selling his watch. The man was
unemployed and used crutches to move around after having recently been
hit and incapacitated by a truck. The female went upstairs to talk to
the man about the watch while Liggett waited downstairs. After the
female learned that the man did not have any money to purchase the
watch, she was met by Liggett outside the man's apartment. Liggett
allegedly pushed the woman against a wall, put a knife to her throat,
and threatened to cut her throat if the man did not give him any money.
Since the man did not have any money to give, Liggett then allegedly cut
the woman's throat. The man proceeded to hit Liggett with one of his
crutches. Liggett allegedly lunged at him with the knife and stabbed the
man multiple times. Liggett then allegedly fled the down the stairs and
out of the building. The male victim crawled down three flights of
stairs and eventually died from a loss of blood. The female victim
survived the attack.
Liggett was charged with second degree murder in
the Criminal Court of the City of New York on March 18, 1988. A federal
arrest warrant was issued for Liggett in the United States District
Court, Southern District of New York, on May 16, 1988, and Liggett was
charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. SHOULD BE CONSIDERED

Iowa, and received his Doctor of Education (E.D.D.) in 1983 from a
university in Massachusetts. He worked conducting management training
seminars for employees of large companies. Liggett had ties to Hoboken,
New Jersey; New York; Iowa; and Gainsville, Georgia. He is a known
narcotics offender.

Thoughts? This thread is to discuss Danny Liggett. We had a thread on him but for some reason the poster who started it decided to delete it. Anyway, Liggett apparently was once a fugitive profiled by the FBI but his only exsiting coverage on the internet is on mugshots.com At the moment, we are unsure if he was ever profiled on America's Most Wanted which is why this thread is once again in the exclusive fugitives section. If anyone has proof he was indeed on AMW, I will move Liggett to fugitives on tv.
