MONROE, LA-(KNOE) For many, Mother's Day will always be a reminder of the three people who were shot and killed on South Third Street in Monroe.
They'll remember, Darvis Jones, Deborah Collins and Florica Green.
Police suspect Deaundrey Cole is the shooter.
An arrest warrant says he's wanted for three counts of second-degree murder.
It also says Collins and Green's death was accidental, but Cole allegedly intended to shoot Jones.
It says it all happened after Jones and his friend Qatarrious Dean allegedly robbed Cole.
He's suspected of taking his money and drugs.
The warrant says Jones hinted to Dean that he was about to rob Cole...
According to the report, that's when Jones pointed his gun at Cole. Dean pulled out a gun to back up his friend .
Cole left the area. Jones and Dean walked down to 1400 South Third Street.
According to the arrest warrant, Jones and Dean returned to the house where Cole allegedly followed.
They got into a shoot out. That's when Jones and Dean ran in to an alley where Jones later died.
When we talked with Jones' mother this week, she said shooting and robbing is not how she knew her son.
"He was Darvis Jones. He was more than the things that they portrayed him to be out in the streets he was more than that," Avis Houston said.
Dean was arrested for armed and attempted robbery.
Police are asking for your help in finding Cole. He is considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call Monroe Police at (318) 329-2600.
