 (Above photo credit: azcentral.com) From azcentral.com: The Tempe Police Department is asking for the public's help to find a man accused of sexually assaulting a mentally handicapped adult living at a group home when he was employed there in 2010. Christian Michael Stasenka, 46, has been on the run for five years, having left Arizona after discovering the potential sexual assault charge against him, according to a Tempe Police statement. Stasenka was a caregiver at the group home in the 2400 block of East Riviera Drive, in Tempe, when the sexual assault occurred on Feb. 7, 2010, police said. Within months, a felony warrant was issued out of Maricopa County Superior Court and it has nationwide extradition for Stasenka's arrest, court records show. Police describe Stasenka as a 6-foot-tall White who weighs 180 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He was last reported as traveling through Albuquerque, New Mexico, in the summer of 2010 with a friend who authorities said helped him flee. Police say he also has extended family in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Authorities request anyone with information to contact the Tempe Police Department or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS. Yes Christian Stasenka is a very sick fugitive. Based on that look, he could blend into a number of locations which is the most troubling thing.

I checked the last name "Stasenka" on google myself and I didn't come up with anytime in the Ancestry.ca searches (you would have to be a member to do further research). However there is a Finnish wikipedia entry for a person with the last name "Stasenka". |

As far as I can tell, Stasenka still wanted as of this update (October 19th, 2019), still waiting on the currently offline Arizona court search to come online again, just wanted to mention something crazy I found. An old online article from 2000 mentions a Lincoln, Nebraksa high school basketball refere, a 31-year old Christian Stasenka as having been arrested for videotaping the boys locker room and shower area. He was released but faced up to three months in jail and/or a 500 dollar fine. It could be coincidence but logic- around the same age Stasenka was at the time and he has ties to Nebraska- would indicate it has to be him. Nevermind the Arizona search, found there are no dispositions for cases against Stasenka in Maricopa County's online court records as of October 19th, 2019, although oddly there are charges from 08 and 09 so I don't know if there are separate cases or this is part of the same case or what but enough for me to reasonably assume he is unfortunately still at large.
