Police seeking suspect in man's stabbing death
A man stabbed to death near downtown Feb. 4 has been identified as Manuel Jasso Rodriguez, 45, of the 100 block of Detering.He walked into a bar in the 1000 block of Detering and collapsed.Nicolas Linares, 60, of the 5400 block of Washington is charged with murder but is at large, authorities said.He drives a brown and beige 1979 Dodge pickup with no tailgate and Texas license plates 3XH-F97.
Based on investigating agencies, it is advised to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713.222.TIPS (8477) if you have any information on Nicolas Linares's whereabouts.

According to the Harris County District Clerk's website records, this case hasn't gone to trial yet, the only criminal record for Nicolas was a 1983 arrest for driving while intoxicated. I imagine he likely fled to his native Mexico and there's a good chance he's still alive at 76-years of age.
