This one was very short so I just had to copy and paste the article without having to pay access the entire piece. According to the Harris County District Clerk's website records, this case hasn't gone to trial yet, the only criminal record for Nicolas was a 1983 arrest for driving while intoxicated. As of June 17th, 2018, Linares is still listed on Houston Crime Stoppers as a wanted fugitive (same link as in HeadMarshal's OP)
