LAPORTE – Police believe they have solved a 20-year-old murder mystery out of LaPorte County. Jason Tibbs, 38, of LaPorte Friday was arrested for the 1993 murder of Rayna Rison. Rison was 16 when her father reported her missing on March 26, 1993 after she failed to return home from work. She worked at Pine Lake Animal Hospital. Rison’s disappearance received national coverage and was aired on “America’s Most Wanted” a week later. Her body was found in a pond near Range Road in LaPorte County on April 27, 1993. Rison’s death was ruled a homicide after an autopsy was completed and has remained an unsolved case for more than two decades. Police say this is an ongoing investigation. WSBT featured the Rayna Rison murder as part of a cold case series in July. Anyone with information on the case is being asked to contact Det. Sgt. Williamson at (800) 552-8917 or Det. Airy at (219) 362-9446, ext. 210. www.wsbt.com/news/wsbt-arrest-in-20yearold-rayna-rison-murder-case-20130823,0,7203153.story

If you copy and paste the link should work. But great work by authorities in making an arrest in a two decades-old case!

Just read John Walsh will talk about this case on HLN tonight on "evening express" from 5-7. Hopefully we haven't missed it already.

Looks like I misread and that was an editorial from John Walsh, LOL. But there is a link to the family discussing there finally being an arrest in this case.
