There were at least two people in on the KK Convenience Store killings. I believe I read the other one has never been identified or captured, but I'm not 100% positive on that. EDIT: This is a long read and I don't have time to read the whole thing now, but this says two accomplices named "Malcolm" and "Bobby" were also involved. www.lasc.org/opinions/2003/01ka2732.opn.pdf

Ha, also before that episode was a (partial?) segment on Billy Ray Riggs. Man who killed a young lady named Jamie (not sure on last name, but may be Peters as her mother's last name is Peters). He also beat three of his wives and killed his brother in 1972. He was convicted and sentenced to death. Not sure, but I think this may have been a special episode devoted solely to this case called "Justice for Jamie" as that flashed on the screen at one point. No idea when it aired. Ran about 11 minutes and 40 seconds. I think that special was aired in 1994/1995.

This is a partial episode, but it's a doozy. Not sure when it aired, but I think this is from 1998 and it aired the week after the last episode I reviewed.
Captured: Michael Dongorra - Partying preacher who appallingly stole artifacts from churches in the San Francisco area and embezzled was apprehended.
Captured: James Brian Gordon - Man who molested three boys in Arizona for 12 years was immediately apprehended after his case aired.
Captured: Dean Robbins - Man who committed a series of crimes including carjacking, kidnapping, home invasions and ramming a police car. Killed in a shootout with police.
Captured: Jason Edwards - Fugitive from last week has been re-apprehended.
Dennis Orbe - Is wanted for murder, attempted murder, home invasions, robbery and kidnapping.
James Leo Russell - Is wanted for molesting girls in stores in several states.
Larry Andrews, Jr. - Young man standing 6'4 who disappeared on New Year's Day during celebration of holiday in Time's Square. Spotted at numerous bars throughout the night and last seen at 2:30 in the morning running down a street with no jacket despite the cold weather. His mother enlisted the help of Howard Stern, who broadcast his disappearance on his popular radio show. (Body was found the next month. Cause of death was drowning, but not known if it was suicide, homicide or accident. It should be noted that there were a high volume of similar deaths across the country in the 2000's of young men who were last walking home from bars and ended up drowning. In most cases, a smiley face was found near the victim and some believe a serial killer is operating)
David Bieber - Bodybuilder who hired a hit man to kill his rival in a love triangle.
Susannah Chase - Young woman from Boulder, CO who was followed, attacked and murdered after leaving an establishment one night. No signs of robbery or rape. Tipster who phoned in with vital information is urged to contact telecenter again. (Not mentioned, but John Ramsey believes Susannah's killer is the same person that murdered his daughter JonBenet).
Update - Derek Morales - Young man who was a friend of Chuck Norris was killed during a drive-by shooting. He was attempting to land his plane in Torrance, CA to tend to matters related to the family business, but that cities airport had malfunctioning landing lights, so he re-routed to crime-infested Compton, CA. After landing at night, he attempted to walk to his family's business some distance away. Update says Andre Murphy Jr. is suspected and was killed during an attempted robbery. Chuck Norris dedicated an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger to Derek -- an episode related to gang violence.

I checked online and there was a Dennis Mitchell Orbe who was convicted of a 1998 murder and executed by the state of Virginia in 2004. Is this the same guy? www.clarkprosecutor.org/html/death/US/orbe907.htmThank you for the information on James Brian Gordon (Capture #489)! He's one of the few direct captures we didn't have information on from archived news reports. James Leo Russell became Capture #502 on February 14, 1998. David Bieber was a longtime fugitive AMW first profiled in 1996. Sadly his manhunt ended when he shot and killed a police officer in the United Kingdom. He was arrested quickly afterwards and convicted in the UK. Very interesting episode, especially from the sheer number of capture updates.

Yep, that's the same Dennis Orbe. And yes, great week for captures that was.

Bad Girls of AMW special, focusing mostly on female fugitives
Crystal Dawn Vigil aka "Goofy" - Part of a trio of Los Angeles women who committed murder, attempted murder, carjacking and armed robbery. The other two have been caught, however Crystal Dawn is still sought. She is a known cocaine user and possible prostitute. Elaine Parent - Cultured woman who frequently resorts to identity theft and theft, also wanted for the 1990 murder of Florida resident Beverly McGowan, who was decapitated. (Also profiled on Unsolved Mysteries and Swamp Murders) Margaret Rudin - another airing Tracey Poirer & Pam Trimble - another airing of the update, essentially, though this one mentions an accomplice of Tracey's named Tammy Upton, who participated in the brutal murder of a dwarf that Tracey was convicted of. Walentina Knapek - Frequent user of the "till tap", in which perpetrators use sleight-of-hand to take money out of cash registers. Astarte Davis-Rice - another airing Sadie Wallace-Nelson - Extremely bizarre case. Added to the CP, literally just a few months ago (link below). Not known if robbery was motive as numerous valuables remained in the house, as well as 30k in money. John Walsh states last airing of segment produced 16 good tips. charleyproject.org/cases/n/nelson_sadie.htmlMargo Freshwater - Wanted for her part in numerous murders and armed robberies in the south in 1966. Caught and imprisoned, but quickly escaped and has been on the run since then. (Captured a few years afterward in 2002, inexplicably released in 2011 despite having only served roughly a decade for a 99-year sentence. Also profiled on Unsolved Mysteries) Alden Daniels - Is wanted for raping 3 girls on the sports team he coached. Martha Gomez - Is wanted for fraud and sexual assault. Standing at just 4'9, she passes herself off as a boy in order to get close to the girls she aims to molest. Jacob Wetterling - Very famous case solved just last year. 11 year old boy who was abducted by gunpoint while biking home with his younger brother Trevor and friend Aaron Larsen from a convenience store by masked gunman in Minnesota in 1989. Numerous suspects surfaced throughout the years and some thought he could still be alive, however he had been molested and killed by a local sex offender who was imprisoned a few years ago. His mother Patty became a victims rights advocate and was also the Democratic nominee for Congress in Minnesota's 6th district in 2004 and 2006, taking over 40% of the vote each time. The perp was also tied to the sexual assault at gunpoint of a boy named Jared Schierl 9 months previous, and he is also believed to be responsible for about a dozen sexual assaults and/or attempts in the Paynesville, MN area in the years previous. (Also profiled on 20/20 numerous times and possibly Missing: Reward. Also the subject of a book entitled "It Cant' Happen Here", which I have read.) Also, not in this episode, but a one-off segment about the capture of Adrian Rozales closes out this disc. A thoroughly creepy pedophile who attempted to accost a girl at a hotel in the Tyler, TX area was apprehended.

I'm pretty certain this bad girls special is from 1999, a lot of great captures to tell you about! Crystal Dawn Vigil became Capture #852 after several years of airings on July 11, 2005. Elaine Parent was tracked down thanks to an AMW tip, but she shot herself to death before the police could arrest her. She is Capture #702. Martha Gomez became Capture #764 on October 6, 2003. Walentina Knapek was aired several times over the years. She's still at large: amwfans.com/thread/791/walentina-knapek-east-coast-1994

Yeah, come to think of it, John Walsh stated that it was the 10th anniversary of Jacob's abduction, so that would put it on or around October 22, 1999.
I seem to recall Elaine Parent was at her home when authorities finally closed in on her.

unknown date, possibly 1998-1999, from Las Vegas, NV
Captured: Roy McCall - Was wanted for attempted murder and armed robbery in Dothan, AL. He shot at clerk, but missed and the clerk fired back. He has been captured.
Douglas Barry - Bodybuilder who is a drug dealer is sought.
Captured: Amy Dechant - Amy Dechant becomes AMW's 500th capture and John Walsh is excited! She had murdered her significant other over his fortune. Jury declined to charge her with lesser charge and convicted her of 1st degree murder. (Great reaction by victim's family as verdict is read.)
Michael Mitch Barrera - Another airing.
Barry Zeltner - Las Vegas casino cheat is sought.
Eric Stein - Is wanted for 7 felonies including racketeering and securities fraud. He hawked ridiculous products such as a device that supposedly allows dog owners to hear their dog's voice.
David & Martha Crow - Ran a pyramid scheme and are wanted for money laundering and mail fraud.
Stephanie Condon - Girl from Myrtle Creek, OR disappeared in 1998 while babysitting two younger kids. (Remains found in 2009. Dale Hill was charged but found not guilty of her murder.)
Anna Palmer - Utah girl who was murdered while walking home. Puncture wounds were found on her body and police had initially thought she had been killed by a dog. This was later proven to be false. (After roughly a decade passed, DNA linked Matthew Breck to her murder. He was already serving time in prison in Idaho for sexually assaulting a girl. He pleaded guilty in a plea bargain and has been sentenced to life behind bars. Breck was 19 at the time of Anna's murder and lived in her neighborhood.)
John Addis - Bizarre story about a respected police officer from Alaska who was normal until having a supposed encounter with a UFO. His personality changed after that and he started acting weird and eventually kidnapped his own children. Spent most of the mid-80's in prison, was released and reinvented himself as a bodybuilder. Now wanted for the murder of his significant other, Joanna Albanese (Also profiled on Unsolved Mysteries, though I don't recall them mentioning most of that stuff.)
Jose Silva - Wanted for the killing of a Pennsylvania man in which the victim was stabbed 20 times.

I don't think AMW would ever really mention Unsolved Mysteries on their show and vice versa. There was probably an unspoken rivalry between the shows in my opinion.
As you may know, the Addis case is one of the saddest fugitives endings in AMW history. He was hiding out in Guadalajara and killed the girlfriend he was living with and the children he fathered with her before killing himself.

James Kinney - Man who bogusly claimed to be heir to Kinney shoe fortune is wanted for killing a young Washington state woman. Authorities believe he may have killed before. Eric Steven Stein became Capture #551 on February 12, 1999. David & Martha Crowe became Capture #674 & 675 respectively on July 9, 2001. I'm pretty certain that Jose Silva was caught around 2007 based on what I've read on archived law enforcement websites. James Kinney became Capture #658 on March 6, 2001. How many disks does it look like you have left if any? I'm just curious as to how many possible episodes there may be to still analyze.

Romel & Willie White - Romel is wanted for the repeated molestings of a young relative and selling the youth's body to his friends. His parents, Joan and Willie, repeatedly attempted to get him out of trouble. When that failed, they all fled. Joan was found in California attempting to pass a bad traveler's check. Romel & Willie are still sought.
Willie and Romel were busted in different months of 1998 as Captures #508 and #524, but I'm confused about the details because of how little information I could find about it online. Am I to understand that Romel was suspected of committing lewd acts on a minor (which a court document online suggests was most likely his nephew), then the boy suddenly died and Romel was suspected of selling the remains to either the victim's friends, his own friends, or some friends of the family?
In fact, by any chance, could the indictment against Romel have accused him of elaborately planning those sex violations to be committed as a group, and some other co-conspirators (presumably who were caught quickly) murdered the victim and gave the body back to Romel to dispose of however he thought he could cover it up?

A lot of discs left. I believe some have 2-3 episodes per disc. Still A LOT to go through, too much to guesstimate.
What I meant was the AMW broadcast had mentioned a lot of things that the Unsolved Mysteries broadcast didn't. I would imagine the 2 shows probably didn't mention each other, but that probably had to do more with them airing on opposing networks more than anything else. Considering both shows essentially had the same goal, I hope there wasn't too big of a rivalry. I know John Walsh once referred to Unsolved Mysteries as 'that show that profiles UFO's', but I think he later expressed regret for the comment.
In regards to Romel White, he was prostituting his nephew out to his friends and essentially acted as his pimp. That's what I meant by selling. It was really a grotesque series of crimes, so I tried to word it carefully. It was mentioned that Romel was a member of NAMBLA (North American Man-Boy Love Association, or some crap like that) an organization which John Walsh understandably loathes. John actually talked about a time he learned a member of NAMBLA had written about his infatuation with his son Adam and what he wanted to do him. I could only imagine that made John want to go into the bathroom and vomit.

Still Robert Stack was fighting for victim's rights when UM profiled fugitives, missing people, unsolved murders and unexplained deaths. So when he passed away Walsh would have felt very sad as he lost an ally in the fight for justice, once he realized that UM was an actual asset.

Ah, so those 2 misfit segments I mentioned above were actually part of a full episode that continued on the next disc. I cut and pasted those here and continued on with the segment descriptions:
unknown date, possibly 1998
Captured: "Crazy" Charlie Rodriguez - Fugitive who committed multiple armed robberies and shot at police officers is caught.
James Kinney - Man who bogusly claimed to be heir to Kinney shoe fortune is wanted for killing a young Washington state woman. Authorities believe he may have killed before.
Amber Creek - Young female who was a runaway was found dead and listed as a Jane Doe for several months. Eventually identified as Amber Creek. Authorities now attempting to locate young male she was last seen with.
Ira Einhorn - Different version segment that discusses the widespread support for Einhorn with French citizens. John bashes the French!
Jeffrey Durham - I mentioned the update earlier, here is the regular segment. Jerry Springer narrates this piece about a bank robber who went on his show afterward and expressed his love for a transvestite. Says Durham is skilled at climbing (sometimes going up to the 5th floor to commit crimes) and is very adept at evading police and figuring out their surveillance tactics.
Tim Mariner - Is missing. Anyone have anything on this one? I've got zilch.
Also, a segment on child pornography and predators and the internet. 21 year-old Christopher Black was apprehended in Queens, and Sam Manzi was apprehended after killing young Eddie Werner after being a victim himself. Not sure if these were ever profiled on the show, though I'm guessing not.
