Photo Credits: Denver Police Department -- Date: 07/21/1976 Location: 3500 block Clay St. Synopsis: Victim was at a neighbor’s house after spending the evening at Elitch Gardens. While on the porch, several shots were fired and the victim was struck by one of the rounds and died. The victim enjoyed spending time at home and fishing with his grandfather. Martin’s mother described her son as very funny, engaging and a well liked young man. Based on investigating agencies, it is advised to contact the Denver Police Department at 720-913-2000 if you have any information on the murder of Martin Martinez.

It sounds to me Martin may not have been the intended target. We like to think stop snitching is something new but even back in the 70's I take it there may have been people who knew that didn't want to talk to the cops. Who knows if those people are still around after 40 years, I'd like to think someone would have talked if they knew anything.
