Stephen Eugene Beck is wanted by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for 28 counts of rape as well as 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a child and was aired during AMW's Lifetime season. Beck is on the TBI's 10 most wanted fugitives list and disappeared in 2011 when he was due to appear in court. The reason I'm posting about him today is there seemed to be a "false alarm" Beck sighting the other day in Tennessee. A 12-year old boy reported a suspicious man in a van pulling up and offering him a ride. Rumors quickly spread in the community that the boy identified Beck in a police lineup. However, an officer stated they are simply rumors and he has no idea how Beck's name even came up in the community and media. Beck's profile lists him as possibly still in Tennnessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, or Alabama. One article I read states authorities have received tips from as far way as Alaska, but that the Alaska tip provided "little to no value." www.amw.com/fugitives/brief.cfm?id=80295www.lebanondemocrat.com/article/209416www.wilsonpost.com/news/8630-authorities-seek-whereabouts-of-alleged-child-sexual-predator

I appreciate that people are trying to keep this case alive, but rumors aren't going to help to find Stephen Beck. Anyway I think he's still in Tennessee or a neighboring state but living in a small to mid-size community.

A new article about Stephen Beck, and there are some new leads to work with: -According to police, Beck was in Lexington, Kentucky multiple times in 2012, and he has also been tracked to Pikeville, Tennessee -He may use the alias Jason Keith -U.S. Marshal's say he's known to frequent both hetero and homosexual strip clubs, and he allegedly doctor shops for pills. Police say he also reconditions softball equipment and softball bats, so he does travel and go to softball tournaments, where he might set up a little bit of a business out of his vehicle and he repairs softball bats for some of the participants. (this last bit of information is also on his AMW profile in shorter detail, but thought it was worth pointing out again) www.lex18.com/news/crime-stoppers-tennessee-police-search-for-dangerous-criminal-in-lexington

Now they're saying a man spotted today was an unrelated suspect but Beck has been spotted in the past. Wherever he is, misinformation seems to follow him. *sigh*

At least there's still media attention on his case. Hopefully Beck will finally be caught soon.

Found Beck in Tennesee inmate locator so he was apparently convicted it seems to roughly 37-38 years since he will not be eligible for parole until 2052 when he'd be 82 years old. apps.tn.gov/foil-app/results.jsp
