Well unfortunately the U.S. just attacked a Syrian air base. Honestly this reminds me a lot of the mistakes that were made in 2003 and 2011 in Iraq and Libya. To be clear I don't think Syrian president Bashar al-Assad is a great guy, but if we topple the Syrian strongman, it leaves a vacuum that will likely be filled by terrorists if he's ousted. The U.S. Wasn't attacked by the Syrian Government in any way, shape or form. I know this was done as a result of the chemical attack days earlier but we can't sit around and point fingers at Bashar al-Assad until there is an independent and thorough investigation. www.cnn.com/2017/04/06/politics/donald-trump-syria-military/

I really don't want to get into such a deep topic on a daily chat thread lol. All I can say is this- I hate to be a cynic- but I don't think there will ever be "world peace." Too many countries, too many different types of regimes and leaders. There's no way for EVERYONE to get along. But I do hope for the day where there will at least be an extended period of time of less wars or no wars and less violence. And I also hope nuclear weapons are never used again.
Time will tell whether striking Syria was a good or bad idea. I've had my disagreements with President Trump in the past and still do not approve of the job he's done so far as President, but even Hillary Clinton seems to have made comments calling for Syrian air strikes. So this is one issue where I guess I understand both arguments. Interfering with things happening in other countries even if they're dictatorships is what's gotten us in a lot of messes since Vietnam and I'm tired of us always getting into wars over it, but Assad's alleged gassing of his own people is pretty Hitler-esque. It's a tough situation. I guess time will tell.

Assad or whoever orchestrated that mass murder of children sets a new low in planetary criminal history within my memory. The perpetrator is the world's worst chemical weapons offender since Shoko Asahara, leader of the since-defunct cult Aum Shinrikyo, and the worst mass child killer case since Joseph Edward Duncan III or the Sandy Hook massacre. This is the kind of case that mires my outlook on the world in sorrow and despair.

There hasn't been an investigation yet, I don't respect Assad nor am I giving him a pass for any of the things he's done to his people, but he handed his chemical weapons over in 2013 after the Ghoutta Chemical attack in that year. I suspect the rebels were behind it as Assad's forces were making significant gains on the battlefield in Syria, therefore he had no need to use those weapons. Al Qaeda and the rebels have been proven by independent bodies to be responsible for numerous chemical attacks, but is never mentioned in the media. This war has become the biggest proxy ever as you've only got several countries involved for their own gain. Obviously I care about the chemical attack and want those responsible for it brought to the ICC, but it was too soon to blame Assad and attack the Syria Government.

holy sh**t I was watching Jeopardy and one of the categories was "Long Arm of the Law" One question was John List was on the run for 18 years before this tv show ran his image- of course we know the answer. That's so cool that America's Most Wanted was an answer on Jeopardy though LOL.

P.S. One other question in the category was "This type of technology captured a wanted fugitive in Nepal in 2014" and another one the answer was Interpol so it was great category all around if you were an AMW fan LOL.

We know how fugitives are picked for the FBI Top Ten List, but does anyone know how fugitive cases are picked to appear on the featured fugitives website? This technically goes for Seeking Information and Missing Person sections as well. Certain field offices seem to place more of an emphasis on fugitive coverage than others (one of the best appears to historically be the Sacramento field office). What is preventing the FBI from adding more fugitive cases to their website, the public needs to know who these people are and what they look like. Having the photos in a computer database and file stuffed on a shelf isn't very helpful for the public to assist in the manhunt.

I think the thing is the FBI might not want to overload their site and focus only on certain cases. We have the benefit of being a discussion site and not law enforcement site so we don't have the same pressure to actually capture the fugitives. It doesn't matter if we overload our site since technically we're not trying to personally capture the fugitives anyway (Would be cool if we lead to one though!). If there's too many fugitives on the FBI's website, the ones they want caught the most might not stand out as much. (This is of course similar to the Hunt vs. AMW debate)

At least that way the FBI website will never end up like the mess the fox/lifetime amw site eventually became.

The good news is I'm going on vacation soon. The bad news is it will be in August (only time that worked for me) and it will be a foreign country trip so I will miss at least one if not two live episodes of The Hunt. Normally, I wouldn't care that much, after all, I can just DVR it and watch when I get back, but since I'm the admin of a Hunt fan site I feel like I'm abandoning my job albeit one I don't get paid for lol.
Also, knowing my luck, I'll probably miss like an amazing capture or captures or something but hey if that happens maybe I'll purposely take trips during 'Hunt's season from now on to ensure a capture lol.

Well everyone today I graduated from high school. I had my graduation earlier today and looking back, it was a amazing experience, met a lot of wonderful teachers and fellow peers over the course of the last 5 years. Again I'm just glad I have my diploma in hand and start my next adventure in college. Also oddly enough on the way there I saw a street named John Walsh Way LOL

Sort of off-topic but Fugitive Watch on their Facebook page just posted a link to a story asking for tips on Jeffrey Marshall- who is the same one us AMW fans know as the guy who died back in 2011. Did he undie or something because that is really creepy.

Fox is developing a scripted police drama called "Atlanta's Most Wanted". Ugh, what a slap in the face to us AMW fans that they cancel a show that did so much good and bring anything called Most Wanted back that's not the show, I don't care how good or bad it is. (Even worse, the acronym for Atlanta's Most Wanted is AMW).
With all the renewed interest in true crime, I really don't get why at least a new weekly AMW-type show hosted by Elizabeth Smart or another victim's advocate has not happened yet.
