With the purse and cell phone in Amber's car, this murder doesn't sound like a robbery. I notice the term "assault" could mean any number of methods that the killer used to murder Amber, and the murder method may tell us something about why Amber was killed (ex. crimes of passion I notice are usually stabbing or beating murders).
