On Valentine’s Day morning (Tuesday, February 14, 2017) between 3:30 and 4:00 a.m., 63-year-old Richard “Gene” Hammond left his home near Bruce Randolph & York St for work in Fountain, CO. He was driving his 2012 Subaru Impreza sedan. Mr. Hammond never arrived at work. He and the vehicle were discovered less than a half-mile from his house. Mr. Hammond was deceased, which was later discovered to be the result of a gunshot wound.
