Details: Fifteen-year-old John Simmons of Philadelphia vanished after returning home from George Washington Carver School in September of 1988. His mother does not believe that he left on his own accord and suspects foul play. She has been searching for him ever since and has offered a $2,000 reward for information in the case.
Suspects: Neighborhood kids suggested to John's mother that he may have been abducted by drug dealers who may have tried to recruit him to deal for them.
Extra Notes: The case was featured as a part of the October 25, 1989 episode.
Results: Unresolved. In April of 1993, John's remains were found in Fairmount Park, in Philadelphia. He had been shot in the head and then left on the hill were his remains were later located. Police and John's mother believe that drugs were involved in his disappearance and death and that he was murdered by drug dealers. However, no one has been arrested in the case.

Thoughts? John's case has never aired on America's Most Wanted to the best of my knowledge but it is being placed in the Unsolved on TV section since, as noted above, it has aired on Unsolved Mysteries.
