He may travel several times a year to California and various states in the United States. CAUTION Israel Guadarrama Lagunas is wanted for the murder of a man in Santa Barbara County, California. The victim, who died of multiple stab wounds, was last seen talking to Lagunas and an accomplice at his place of employment on April 11, 1997. The victim's body was later discovered on Highway 1 near the Grefco Quarry. On April 18, 1997, a state arrest warrant was issued in the Santa Barbara County Court, charging Lagunas with murder and robbery. A federal arrest warrant was subsequently issued on December 18, 1997, for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. Lagunas' accomplice is in state custody. Based on crime location, it is advised to contact the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department at (805) 681-4150 if you have any information on Israel Guadarrama's whereabouts.

The good news is that in August 2001, the FBI made Israel Guadarrama one of their monthly fugitives, which is how I learned about his past occupations and the additional robbery charge. They have been adding a lot of cold cases back to the site lately. Hopefully if any new information comes on Guadarrama, they can add him back on. |

Just wanted add that according to Newspapers.com articles, the victim in this case is 38-year old Joseph Moreno.
Also wanted to add that Joseph was stabbed approximately 120 times during a robbery where Joseph’s wallet, jewelry and truck was taken.

As of today, February 2, 2022, Israel Guadarrama has an active Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution warrant in PACER. The document mentions that he has relatives in the Mexican cities of Tijuana and Iquala.
The Santa Barbara County District Attorney's office stated in 1997 that they would guarantee extradition if Israel was located. Therefore I assume that Israel's exact whereabouts have never been determined. Some renewed publicity by the FBI would be appreciated.
